Facts

Guess what!I looked at my encyclopedia and found some really interesting facts about reptiles. Here they are:

  • The Nile Crocodile lives in Madagascar in the Nile river. It can survive up to 1 year without food.It weighs up to 2,178 lbs.It eats mammals, other reptiles(even other crocodiles) fish, birds and carrion; baby crocodiles eat frogs and insects.
  • The Green Tree Python wraps it's body around it's eggs and shivers to keep them warm. They live in tropical Australia.
  • The Anaconda squeezes it's prey until it stops breathing to kill it.It lives in South America in swamps and slow moving rivers. It is the worlds heaviest snake at 550 lbs.Female anacondas are 33 ft.
  • The Black Mamba is the fastest snake in the world at 14 mph.It has sharp eyesight and is a brown or grayish color
  • The King Cobra weighs 12-17.6 lbs. and eats mainly snakes plus some lizards.
OK so bye.
p.s. for Christmas I want anything about reptiles.I want to be a person who studies reptiles when I grow up.
